Attend pre-season coach meeting
Familiarize yourself with Demosphere, the sports management app will use to access game schedules, and facilitate team communication and management.
Send team introduction message to parents to introduce yourself and identify possible training times.
Make sure that parents are aware of uniform requirements.
7U-19U recreational coaches should reserve fields for training sessions. Generally, 7U-8U teams will have one training session a week, and 9U-19U may have up to two a week. 5U-6U training will be on Saturday mornings along with their game. 9U-10U academy teams will participate in organized training sessions, and do not need to reserve fields.
Hold parent meeting to highlight season and expectations, and review the club's code of conduct.
Review and communicate training and game schedules
Organize and carry out training sessions to foster player development. Look for training plans provided.
Communicate schedule changes with parents as soon as possible.
Be responsible for the players until they are turned over to a parent or guardian before leaving the field.
Manage your team's games.
Reschedule games as needed following club and league procedures.
